A Business Gamble

As the business consultant it is my role to highlight specific business related information.Despite the most recent sales figures issued last autumn, showing an annual increase of £181 million to just under £2.6 billion, and sales increasing year on year, you would hardly bet on Camelot looking to cut up to 250 jobs from a combined workforce of 880 staff. However even companies bucking the current economic downturn have to look at cutting their costs.

Dr. Mark D. Yates states, notwithstanding that Camelot says their UK lottery is run more efficiently that all its European counterparts. 18 months ago when Camelot had their licence to run the national lottery renewed, it promised to cut its day to day running costs from 5% to 4% of revenue.
